How to calculate final score in Takenoko
Your final score in Takenoko is simply the sum of all your points earned across every category. Just add together your completed Panda objectives, Plot objectives, and Gardener objectives to get your grand total.

Frequently asked questions
Do objective types matter beyond just total points?
Yes. The categories aren't just for organization; points from specific categories (specifically Panda objectives) act as the official tie-breaker if players finish with the same overall score.
Does unbuilt or un-eaten bamboo count for points?
No. Extra bamboo sections left sitting in the general supply box or un-eaten/un-harvested bamboo left growing on the board do not award any points on their own at the end of the game. Only completed, scored objective cards count toward the final score.
What triggers the final round of the game?
Fulfilling and revealing the required number of objective cards (9 for 2 players, 8 for 3 players, and 7 for 4 players) triggers the final round of the game.
Do cards have to remain valid when revealed?
Yes. While players can choose to hold certain completed objective cards in hand rather than scoring them immediately, conditions for things like bamboo growth must still be valid at the exact moment they choose to reveal and score them.
