Terms of Service

1. The service

Meeple Collection lets you track your board game collection, log plays, rate games, and optionally share a read-only view of your collection via a public link. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we don't guarantee the Service will always be available or error-free.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You're responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must notify us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you add — your collection entries, play logs, ratings, notes, and photos (“your content”). By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you, and — only where you choose to enable a feature like a public share link or an invite — to display it to the recipients you've chosen.

You're responsible for your content and for having the rights to anything you upload (for example, photos). Don't upload content that's unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to share.

4. Public share links and invites

Enabling a public share link makes the collection data included in that snapshot visible to anyone who has the link, until you disable it. You're responsible for who you share that link with.

Inviting another person to a play makes plays you've tagged them in visible to them once they accept the invite. Only invite people with their knowledge and consent.

5. Board game data

Game metadata sourced via the BoardGameGeek (BGG) autofill feature belongs to BGG and its contributors and is provided for reference within the Service. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by BoardGameGeek. “How to play” video results are sourced from YouTube and remain the property of their respective creators/YouTube.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data, or to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to bypass any rate limits or access controls.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service, or parts of it, at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practicable.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data loss won't occur.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meeple Collection and its operators won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
