How to calculate final score in Agricola

Your final score is calculated by combining tiered point values for your fields, pastures, grain, vegetables, sheep, wild boar, and cattle, along with points for fenced stables, room tiers, family members (up to five), played cards, and conditional bonus points. From this total, the calculator subtracts points for any unused farmyard spaces and accumulated begging cards to determine your ultimate farming triumph.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I fail to collect any crops or animals?

Failing to collect any instance of a crop (grain/vegetables) or an animal type (sheep, boar, cattle) results in a −1 point penalty rather than just scoring zero, which makes acquiring at least one of each an essential basic strategy.

How many points do wooden rooms score at the end of the game?

Wooden hut rooms provide 0 victory points at the end of the game; players must renovate to clay (1 pt/room) or stone (2 pts/room) to turn their housing structure into a point source.

Does having empty spaces on my farmyard board penalize my score?

Every single empty, unfenced square on the personal farmyard board docks the player 1 point, punishing sprawling layouts left incomplete.

What is the maximum possible base score in Agricola?

Excluding custom card combinations and specific expansions, a fully optimized base game board featuring 5 stone rooms, 5 family members, maxed-out tracks across all categories, and optimal stables/fences yields a theoretical maximum base score hovering around historical community benchmarks (typically around 50–60+ points before advanced card combos).
