How to calculate final score in 7 Wonders Duel
The final score is calculated as a straight sum of all your victory points from buildings, wonders, progress tokens, and military tokens, plus one additional point for every three coins remaining in your treasury.
- Civilian Buildings (Blue)
- Sum the explicit victory point values printed inside the laurel wreath symbol on all blue civilian buildings constructed in your city.
- Scientific Buildings (Green)
- Sum the victory point values printed inside the laurel wreath symbol on all green scientific buildings in your city.
- Commercial Buildings (Yellow)
- Sum the victory point values printed inside the laurel wreath symbol on any yellow commercial buildings that grant fixed victory points.
- Guilds (Purple)
- Sum the victory point values granted by any purple guild cards built during Age III.
- Wonders
- Sum the victory point values printed on each successfully constructed Wonder card in your city.
- Progress Tokens
- Sum any victory points granted by acquired Progress tokens.
- Military Conflict Tokens
- Sum the values of any military tokens currently on your side of the conflict track.
- Treasury Coins
- Total number of coins remaining in your treasury at the end of the game.
Frequently asked questions
Do coins convert 1-to-1 to victory points?
A common misconception is that leftover money adds directly to your score; in reality, coins are converted at a rate of 1 victory point per complete set of 3 coins.
Do instant victory triggers require you to count points?
If a player achieves Military Supremacy (pushing the conflict pawn into the opponent's capital) or Scientific Supremacy (collecting 6 of the 7 distinct scientific symbols), the game ends immediately and points are never counted.
Does the tie-breaker consider total wealth or coins?
Tied scores are broken exclusively by evaluating who earned more points from blue civilian cards, ignoring coins, wonders, and military strength.
Can Progress tokens add end-game points?
Certain progress tokens, such as Mathematics, provide flat victory points per progress token possessed, while others like Philosophy grant a direct lump sum of points at the end of the game.
